Ritter – a new residential complex in Feldkirchen near Graz – combines innovative technology and sustainability with the highest level of living comfort and was awarded the provincial Energy Globe STYRIA AWARD 2022 in the “Application” class, category “Earth”. The HSE-team, BT-Anlagenbau's HVAC specialists, was instrumental in the successful realisation of this project. The HSE-team carried out the entire heating and sanitary installation, the cooling of the flats and the controlled ventilation of the living space.

The residential complex, built in 2021, was implemented as a net-zero building. A groundwater heat pump for heating and cooling the residential units and a solar power system form the basis of the emission-free energy supply. In addition, the technology of concrete core activation was used in combination with a smart ventilation system. Digital measuring stations for measuring the temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide content of the air enable these systems to interact optimally so that exhaust air, waste heat and excess energy can be fully utilised, thus creating an energy cycle.

In a long-term scientific project with the Graz University of Technology, the interaction of these techniques is continuously optimised and findings are obtained for subsequent projects. The sustainable and intelligent construction method offers the highest quality of life for the residents and creates awareness through active information by visualising the data. In addition to the technical aspects, the residential complex is also socially affordable and optimally connected to the public transport network. The implementation of generous greening and noise protection measures also contribute to the well-being and health of the residents.

The management congratulates the HSE-team on the successful completion of the project!
