We host our mentored class, the 3AHET at HTL Weiz

On Friday, 24 September 2021, our mentored class at HTL Weiz’s Department for Electrical Engineering, the 3A, visited BT-Anlagenbau. We have been mentoring this class since 2019/2020 and will do so until its students pass their university entrance exam.

For a total of five years, BT-Anlagenbau will mentor a class at HTL Weiz, not only contributing essential furniture, but also showing its students the perspectives of working life and answering their questions about practical work. Complying with all COVID-19 regulations, the class visited BT-Anlagenbau in late September. Managing Director Gerald Kreiner welcomed the approx. 20 students and their form teacher Angelika Eigner as well as Department Head Heimo Blattner.

Afterwards, specialists from the various departments provided stunning insights into their work, for instance the latest news from the area of hyper-spectral analysis, presented by a former student of HTL Weiz, Manuel Lux. A tour of the company and a glimpse into control cabinet manufacturing 4.1 provided ample opportunity for the students to ask questions during the following brunch.

Hungry for knowledge, our visitors surprised the Managing Director with a mentorship certificate and a self-designed and assembled LED desk lamp.

BT-Anlagenbau strongly believes in the potential of young technicians and is proud of sponsoring HTL Weiz’s robotics team since 2015 as well as mentoring the 3A for electrical engineering.
