Major order from Essity France

After the successful execution of the contract for Essity in Mannheim, ECE-LOG, the intralogistic division of BT-Anlagenbau, the consumer goods producer once again chose the firm for a major project in France. In Gien, 150 kilometres south of Paris, the experts from Styria will install a completely new high-bay warehouse system.

In compliance with the latest standards and requirements, ECE-LOG will double the capacity for pallets at the Gien site with the new high-bay warehouse. The intricate and extensive planning and preparation phase will also significantly reduce the complexity of the current logistics, making a few external warehouses obsolete. This will also reduce the number of truck journeys per year by several factors and thus have a very positive impact on Essity's carbon footprint.
Highlights of this project, which is scheduled for completion by April 2023, include a highly innovative, fully automated warehouse system, together with a lower front structure with transport connections for additional truck gates, a state-of-the-art fire protection system with integrated fire alarms and a new office building with a green roof.
 
With this project, Essity once again shows that large corporations can achieve the highest economic, sustainability and safety goals thanks to comprehensive planning and the use of the latest technology.
