Young teammates did us proud at the 11th presentation competition for trainees in Styria.

Excellent employees really begin to flourish when they get encouragement, responsibility and feedback. So we make sure that at BT-Anlagenbau everyone reaches their full potential – especially the trainees.

Strong characters in BT-Anlagenbau

Excellent employees really begin to flourish when they get encouragement, responsibility and feedback. So we make sure that at BT-Anlagenbau everyone reaches their full potential – especially the trainees.

Our trainees took to the challenge of the presentation competition for trainees in Styria like ducks to water. At the event held in the community centre in Köflach on 21 April 2015, they were able to speak about a topic of their own choice and to present their opinion. The competition is organised by the government and schools‘ board of Styria and participants come from all over Styria.

This year we were represented by Moritz Kirchpal (in his 3rd year of training) and Andreas Posch (2nd year). They displayed courage and enthusiasm both in the four-day preparation seminar and in the competition before an audience. This earned them 2nd and 4th place. But they also gained more than that: public speaking means learning to be confident, calm and in control in front of an audience, and that will serve them well in their future careers.

We are proud of our trainees and we congratulate Moritz Kirchpal on his 2nd place and Andreas Posch on his 4th place.

Our two youngest trainees tell their stories.

Working at BT-Anlagenbau is really interesting because I get to do so many different things. I am not just in the workshop, but in many other areas too. We learn to work by ourselves and learn to be responsible for what we‘re doing. If I don‘t know how to do something I can ask people – everyone is willing to help and show me what to watch out for. Good teamwork is important to everyone. People accept us trainees as real workers and treat us well. It‘s a lot of fun working here and it‘s just as good as I imagined it would be.

Fabian Ostermann, 16 years, 1st year of training

Coming to BT-Anlagenbau was a dream come true, because I came for a tryout and liked it so much I wanted to come back. Work never gets boring, because there‘s a lot of variety in what we do and we keep doing new things. What I also like is that we get an extra training session once a month. I‘m looking forward to turning 18 so that I can go and work on outside construction sites. The other workers are cool guys and you can really ask them anything if you don‘t know what to do. The working hours are excellent. I‘m really happy to be working for such a great company.
