Pioneering

World championship, humanoid robot and the longed-for trip to Sydney.

BT-Anlagenbau provides the Robotic-Team of HTL Weiz with the means to achieve the extraordinary.

At the moment, all the 30 teenagers that make up the Robotic-Team of HTL Weiz can think about are the World Championships, humanoid robots and the long-awaited trip to Sydney. Tensions are rising for on 26 April they will head to Innsbruck for the World Championships qualification round. Should the hopes of the seven-times national champions and five-times world champions come to fruition, a selection of them will soon board a flight to Sydney in Australia to take part in the RoboCupJunior World Championships.

However, the teenagers already set their goals higher. The World Championships and qualifying for it against a strong opposition in the form of 500 other participants is one project, but they also put all their heart into their “Humanoid Robot” project.
Astonishingly: The Robotic-Team will actually build a life-sized humanoid robot. Standing about 1.7 metres tall, they set out to build the entire robot themselves from parts printed in a 3D printer. It will be able to recognise humans, imitate their movements and talk. Voice activated and upgradeable with sensors this type of robot is already a lighthouse project.

Just like in the past few years BT-Anlagenbau serves as main sponsor of the team whose size doubled already thanks to the company’s support.
Quality, visions and joint commitment make people form bonds. BT-Anlagenbau wishes the entire Robotic-Team a fair competition in Innsbruck as well as extraordinary success and fun when building this outstanding robot.
