What Tinder is for the world of dating, the Competence Atlas is for the Styrian industry.

A different kind of dating service.

Currently only available for automation technology, the new portal offers insights into the Styrian economy and thus helps many companies to find partners in the surrounding area. It aims to keep know-how and orders in the country.

70 companies and educational institutions are already registered, among them BT-Anlagenbau, with the aim of being able to network more competently. In view of the increasing degree of specialisation, it is clear that not all competences can be bundled under one roof. The Competence Atlas now provides an overview of Styria's know-how, links training content with training requirements in an uncomplicated manner.

Especially in the field of automation technology, progress is very fast and specialisation is inevitable. In this spirit, the Styrian Platform for Automation Technology, together with the Federation of Styrian Industry and the Institute for Economic and Location Development of the Styrian Chamber of Commerce, have promoted the Competence Atlas. With this new tool, you can now search by skills, industry and radius, much like a dating app. A total of 2,600 such competencies were collected and summarised in a structured manner. "The systematic survey ensures a uniform interpretation of the competences and an easy comparison," reports the Scientific Director of the project, Udo Traussnigg from the FH Campus 02. And he adds: "You don't have to reinvent the wheel because we can tell you who the professionals are in any given field such as sensing or VR/AR at the push of a button."

In this way, the Competence Atlas allows all users to benefit and, in addition, moves the entire industry forward in an international comparison.
