Buying new equipment or retrofitting, i.e. partial or complete modernisation – profitability is, of course, central to this decision. While the mechanical equipment of the plant/machine is usually still in a very good state, the electrical system often needs to be updated to the required safety standards. The automation and drive technology no longer complies with the state of the art, is possibly susceptible to failure and spare parts procurement is difficult or impossible. In such cases, retrofitting is usually much more efficient than purchasing new equipment.

When renewing the electrical installations, worn parts are replaced with new components and the plant is adapted to the current safety regulations. The documentation, in particular the electrical circuit diagrams and component lists are revised in the scope of the retrofitting process and renewed, if required.

Upon completion of these works, we are able to execute certification and reporting (Anlagenbuch) meeting the requirements of your local authorities.
