Roll pallet production enables Austrian added value.
Pre-assembly in the new assembly hall in Brodingberg.
Made in Brodingberg
When the new assembly factory in Brodingberg opened in 2014, BT-Anlagenbau gained the capability to preassemble machines, conveying and transport systems at a new level in a bigger space with better equipment. However, the plant was not only interesting for the company but also for the neighbourhood of Brodingberg near Gleisdorf, because it was possible to bring manufacturing processes that had been outsourced abroad back to Austria, and jobs with them.
The best example of this strategy are the newly developed roll palettes that are now being made in Brodingberg. The innovative idea of making their basic material out of a combination of high-alloy steel sheets and special wooden laminates that are machined on the most modern CNC machines in Austria, is thought through in every detail. This makes the roll palettes extremely robust. This means that work steps that were previously done abroad and were not feasible here can be executed here in Austria. This creates jobs in the region and brings sustainable value creation to Brodingberg.
Managing Director Gerald Kreiner is happy about the concept – and so are the customers of BT-Anlagenbau. They benefit from products that carry heavy loads for years without losing stability or their precise shape and dimensions. This is necessary to ensure that they work properly in warehouses, where they have to support the products adequately and fit into the transport and shelving systems. Exact and careful manufacturing in Austria guarantees these qualities – backed up by quality control in a special measurement system. After passing these dimensional checks, each individual palette is identified by attaching a barcode. Because a single defective palette can bring a whole transport and storage system to a stop.
Precision + robustness = reliability!
