The Food Analyzer gives you the maximum of food safety in your manufacturing process. Perfect detection and removal of contaminating materials makes the Food Analyzer stand out from the competition. Glass, plastic (even when transparent), metal, paper, cardboard, stones, shells or a variety of organic contaminants such as pests: the Food Analyzer detects and ejects them all.
High-end cameras and pneumatic diverter flaps are the key components of the Food Analyzer. The image data are analysed in milliseconds by the high-speed computer and the diverter flaps swing into the product stream with perfect timing. The flaps remove lightweight pieces of plastic film or heavy stones or screws with the highest reliability. If a foreign body is in line with the edge between two flaps, or if it is bigger than one flap, both flaps are activated at the same time.
The short drop from the acceleration belt to the diverter flaps ensures that foreign bodies do not break up on impact or miss the flaps. Especially pieces of plastic film that float down on the air are reliably removed.
Hygienic design is a food-compatible construction standard that ensures the Food Analyzer is completely washable with a pressure washer. Every detail is taken care of and meets all the requirements in the wet and dry zones.
A well thought-out maintenance concept makes maintenance quicker and easier: for example the output unit which swings out to the side, or the lighting unit which can be easily pulled out.
Hyperspectral imaging is playing an increasing role in the food industry because it can detect things that can’t be detected reliably by ordinary colour cameras. The hyperspectral image analysis can tell the difference between the chemical composition of a piece of food and a foreign object. So for example it can recognise and eject a stone that looks just the same as a nut to the human eye or a colour camera.
