For the first time, BT-Anlagenbau had a stand at Control, the international trade fair for quality assurance in Stuttgart, which took place from 26 to 29 April. Two experts from BT-Anlagenbau represented the company at the stand at the fair which was attended by 26,809 specialists in the field from 92 countries. Presenting three strong products, they were able to make an impression in all areas.
As one of the few solutions for the food sector at Control, the HSP Food Analyzer was a quiet champion among the new products presented. As we said in the last issue of BT-Group News, a main objective of our participation in the fair was to put the HSP Food Analyzer in the spotlight. This system uses hyperspectral data processing to detect quality attributes of food products in real time, online during the production process. Being able to analyze ripeness, fat and/or water content, detection of shell fragments and foreign bodies among other things makes the HSP Food Analyzer an extremely versatile tool. Our two experts, Christian Hartbauer and Andreas Pfeffer enjoyed making the system known to many interested visitors.
The new technology of hyperspectral analysis attracted interest not only from the food industry but from other sectors as well. Queries included tasks such as separation of nuts from shells, quality grading of apples, control of complete application of glue to wood, recognition of polyester films and monitoring of plants in botanical research.
The BT-Anlagenbau quality control system also made a good impression and attracted some very concrete interest. The team handled inquiries related to correct positioning of screws in workpieces, 360° monitoring of water pumps and 3D-control of plastic containers.
The CX Vision System, the fully automatic 100% goods monitoring system from BT-Anlagenbau which acts as a link between the incoming/outgoing goods and the ERP system, drew enthusiastic responses especially from customers from the automotive industry. This system makes it easier to recognise and process large numbers of barcodes.
All in all, Control 2016, where 90% of the visitors are specialists at decision-making levels of management, was a successful new departure for BT-Anlagenbau. In the coming weeks we will be preparing responses to customer inquiries from 15 different countries, developing solutions and beginning new partnerships.
